Job Description
Carpenter Team Lead
Bjurstrom Carpentry is an Ottawa based trade contractor that prides itself in providing outstanding customer service and work. We are currently looking for a Carpenter Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate excels at working with a team and has experience with carpentry.
- 1-3 years of carpentry experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Represent Bjurstrom in a professional manner on site
- Ability to work with a team or on your own to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time
- Responsible for laying out/installing materials, operating a variety of equipment including fork lifts and comfortable working with hand + power tools
- Willing to work overtime if needed (up to 50 hours during busy season)

Site Foreman
Description
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, installing and overseeing a variety of siding and framing projects for custom homes, renovations and some commercial projects.
- Foreman experience in construction, carpentry, or other relevant fields.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Comfortable operating equipment, setting up of work platforms and safety equipment.
- Ability to lead a crew and work successfully with a team or independently when required.
Must have access to a reliable vehicle, basic hand tools & PPE. - Confident in representing the company in a professional manner when on site with clients.
- Responsible for installing a variety of siding and framing materials for custom homes, renovations and some commercial projects
Rate of pay
$35-$45 based on experience & performance
Location

Roles & Responsibilities
We are offering a full-time position with regular hours, 12 months of the year. Hours are generally 40-50+ during the busy times of the year with overtime beyond 44hrs.
Winter hours are generally 35-40 hrs as weather permits. We are seeking someone who is looking to build a fulfilling career and has Foreman experience.
